Comments from Mourning and Milestones, Approaching Special Occasions After a Loved One Dies
Thank you for sharing your own journey of grief and how you coped. Great questions and exercise to help with grief and preparing for landmark days. Glad I came.
This was excellent.
[The most valuable part for me was] the exercises and questions: thought provoking!
[The most valuable part for me was] listening to the speaker and others in a similar place as I am.
[the most valuable part for me was] sharing thought, hearing others, and how they cope.

You gave me a good idea on how to honor my husband at his death anniversary. I will write him a letter, read it to him at the cemetery and then burn it.
I appreciate the valuable thought and experience you bring to those of us having lost our spouse.
Interesting discussion and good insight into how different people deal with stress and mourning.
Happy I attended to share stories and strategies.
Having a chance to reflect and share stories with others helps me heal.

Thanks for a great workshop presentation for our seniors at Lifetime Care this week. We liked the way you connected and encouraged both active and reflective participation with our clients. We also appreciated your flexibility in scheduling the event and being able to end the workshop on time. You are clearly an experienced instructor!
Your workshop was well planned and developed and you handled the large group beautifully.

Comments from Participants
Each exercise was beneficial as it brought up hard questions to examine before the event and will allow for some planning ahead.
The idea of balancing remembrance and creating something new helped.
I found it extremely helpful to talk about coming up with a plan for the holiday in order to help lessen the intensity of emotion (anxiety, stress, etc.)
Writing down my thoughts and being “forced” to think about upcoming occasions really made me come to terms with how I was feeling and gave me some tools to deal with those feelings.
Excellent and well-prepared workshop.
It helped to think about how to change things.
Everything discussed was excellent. Topics were great. Great presentation.
It was well balanced between small groups and the whole group.
Thank you for making me think!

Helps to validate similar feelings, give different perspective and challenge my ideas.
Balance of facilitators was great, It was really well done, Bravo Thanks!
The workshop was well balanced. Meditation spurred thinking and sharing aloud through a particular grief.
It was a very useful blend of what I think of as the psychological and the spiritual. It addressed both honoring and acknowledging grief and inner tools for healing. It felt very well balanced.
I liked the ideas everyone shared on how they healed.
It was all perfect!
